Mmm. I came very close to buying that cookbook last week, then convinced myself that I have way too many cookbooks. But really, is there such a thing as too many cookbooks?

Meredith, add a touch more salt; I think it would bring out the spices a little better.

Mike, the apples in the photo are galas (which my family consumes by the boatload), but the one in the recipe is a Rome, a good apple to cook with.
