Cranberry Walnut Bread

This would make the perfect turkey sandwich, except that I got started on it too late for it to be ready by dinner time. It's so amazingly good, that I'm a little worried it's not going to be around by tomorrow. It would also be excellent with cheese, if it lasted that long.

The recipe is by Rose Levy Beranbaum and can be found in The Bread Bible and also on her blog. I followed the directions in the book, and see now that there are some improvements on her blog that I wish I had noticed earlier. Regardless, my resulting bread is absolutely fabulous and I plan to make it a holiday tradition.

Heck, I'd take a slice with a tiny bit of butter on it. Looks great! You know how your mom likes bread....
